Bochum (dpa / lnw) - During the investigation against two suspects for an attempted serious robbery in Bochum, the police came across another attempted homicide with a still unknown victim via a cell phone video.

At the end of March, after a brutal robbery in Bochum, two men, aged 17 and 20, were arrested for attempted murder.

They are said to have inflicted severe head injuries to a 21-year-old.

During the following cell phone analysis, the investigators came across a cell phone video filmed by the alleged perpetrators, which shows how they had massively attacked a still unknown young man at a S-Bahn station in Bochum two weeks earlier.

The perpetrators are said to have repeatedly kicked the victim, who was lying on the ground, on and against the head.

It can be assumed that the young man was seriously injured by the act.

Another 17-year-old is suspected of being involved in the attempted robbery at the end of March.

He was arrested Thursday and was due to be brought before a judge for attempted manslaughter.

The police are now hoping that the victim of the first brutal attack will come forward and help clarify the background to the case.
