Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - The FDP parliamentary group in the Hessian state parliament has called for data from public administration to be provided free of charge and free of charge.

"A country that wants to be a top digital location has to pursue an innovative data policy," said the digital policy spokesman Oliver Stirböck on Tuesday in Wiesbaden when the draft for an open data law was presented.

"We want to use public data, but protect private data."

Security-related information and trade secrets should also not be posted on the Internet.

Such data could be used, for example, for agriculture with centimeter-precise fertilization with the help of geodata.

The public data should be made available free of charge and generally machine-readable so that they can also be further processed, demanded Stirböck.
