"We must hold on and think about the future: it will stop all that, we will resume a normal life", launched Tuesday the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, to two students met during a trip to Angers.

"The students cling, like all the French population", underlined the head of government, who spoke at length with two students, one in university of biology, the other in university of Spanish.

Distance courses, end-of-year exams, meals for one euro, Jean Castex has multiplied the questions.

"The meal for one euro, it was really a more than welcome help, it was a relief, because many of our comrades lost their jobs", explained one of the students.

But, when the Prime Minister asks them if their university has offered them Covid tests, the enthusiasm disappears: "I know there is a testing center, but the university has never offered to do it. had no communication on it ".

Jean Castex assured that he was "very personally" concerned by the student question to have two daughters in higher education.

During this trip to Angers, especially in a Companions of Duty center, the Prime Minister also presented an "aid simulator", intended to calculate the aid to which each young person is entitled according to his situation.

Baptized "the compass", "it must allow to reverse the reflex: now, the young person tells us who he is and we tell him how we can help him", explained the Secretary of State in charge of Youth, Sarah El Haïry, alongside the Minister of Labor, Elisabeth Borne.

During a demonstration, two young apprentices confided in discovering certain aids to which they were entitled, in particular free museums or financial assistance to go on vacation.

"Well, the museums, the holidays, we will have to wait a little bit ...", warned the Prime Minister.

"But we'll get there ..."

Tuesday, during a visit to a school in Melun, Emmanuel Macron outlined in front of schoolchildren, journalists and onlookers his tracks for a reopening in stages from May 3.

The head of state talks at the end of the afternoon with a dozen mayors by videoconference on the prospects of reopening.
