Ingelheim (dpa / lrs) - On a construction site in Ingelheim (Mainz-Bingen district), a man was fatally injured by a fallen formwork wall.
The 59-year-old construction worker was just about to loosen the wall on Tuesday morning when it tipped over and buried him, the police said on Tuesday.
It is true that colleagues from the construction worker managed to lift the heavy wall with the help of a crane and free the trapped man.
But despite resuscitation, the man succumbed to his serious injuries on the construction site in the Nieder-Ingelheim district.
The criminal police have now started the investigation.
