A few days after the fatal accident suffered by a 38-year-old cyclist, on March 25 in Grenoble, the victim's husband had filed a complaint against the dump truck driver who hit her.

This Tuesday, the Grenoble prosecutor's office announced, via the Grenoble public prosecutor Eric Vaillant, having seized an examining magistrate on Monday "so that a thorough investigation can be carried out".

The judicial investigation was opened of the counts of "manslaughter by driver against named person", in this case the driver of the dump truck, and "manslaughter by manifestly deliberate violation of an obligation of prudence or security by any person legal entity and by natural person against X ”, specifies Eric Vaillant.

This indicates that the last reason for investigation "will allow the investigating magistrate to take into consideration the request for an expert opinion from the lawyer for the civil party, Me Hervé Gerbi, on the accident-causing nature of the place of the accident and the measures taken in this regard ”.

The investigation will therefore have to determine whether other responsibilities, mainly that of local communities, can be engaged in this fatal accident of March 25.
