In a precedent in the Lebanese judiciary, the dispute erupted between the discriminatory prosecutor Ghassan Oweidat and the appellate plaintiff in Mount Lebanon, Ghada Aoun, against the backdrop of the file of financial transfers abroad.

After Oweidat Yad Ghada Aoun ceased the file, the latter rejected the decision and raided the headquarters of a money-shipping company, which led to it being referred to a judicial inspection.

The dispute took political dimensions and, according to observers, formed a new expression of the state of collapse that Lebanon is going through.

Supporters of Lebanese President Michel Aoun and the Free Patriotic Movement support Judge Ghada Aoun, believing that she is pursuing corrupt people and money smugglers.

Meanwhile, supporters of the Future Movement led by Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri support the discriminatory plaintiff who accuses Judge Ghada Aoun of favoritism in opening files and employing them politically.
