Löffingen (dpa / lsw) - A man was killed in a traffic accident by a 19-year-old in the Black Forest.

The man's passenger was life-threatening and the young person who caused the accident was seriously injured, the police said.

According to the information, the accident between Schattenmühle and Reiselfingen (Löffingen district) occurred on Monday evening.

The young man wanted to overtake the vehicle in front of him, but overlooked the fact that it wanted to turn into a parking lot in front of him.

There was a collision.

According to the police, the 69-year-old driver of the overtaken car was trapped in the impact and died at the scene of the accident.

His 63-year-old passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and had to be flown to a hospital by helicopter.

The 19-year-old's car came off the road as a result of the impact, rolled down an embankment and hit a tree.

The learner was seriously injured, but not life-threatening, according to the police.

Total write-offs of over 50,000 euros resulted in both vehicles.
