26 April 2021 The Extraordinary Commissioner for the Covid Emergency, General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, during the visit to the vaccination hub of Gemona in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, - one of the two stages of his visit to the region with special status - about the vaccine doses available in our country, he stated that: "In May we will have between 15 and 17 million doses of the vaccine, but I am more convinced that we will reach 17 million and not 15, most of which Pfizer , then we will have Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson ".

"This region is reaching all targets - added the General - after the ordinance that I signed on the night of April 9, there was a national increase of 1 percentage point per day on the vaccination target for over 80s. , at least in the first administration. This is important because today we have performed over 17 million and 750 administrations of which 12 million and 548 thousand first doses and over 5 million and 200 thousand people have obtained the first and second dose ".

The extraordinary Commissioner for the Covid Emergency then observed that in Friuli Venezia Giulia for the over 80 there is "an almost identical average of administrations to the national average, equal to about 82%. We know that Friuli has a number not very high, but a hard core of people who do not intend to get vaccinated, but we can say that 82% of Friuli is certainly greater than 82% of the national average ".

Vaccino, Figliuolo: moral duty to take care of the frail first

General Figliuolo also observed: "Friuli-Venezia Giulia has presented a vaccination plan worthy of the name. The percentage of over 70s" who have joined the campaign "is good and there is a great deal of attention for the frail, often invisible. Vaccinating the frail is a moral duty ". "I believe that a man cannot be considered such if he is not attentive to those who have been less fortunate than him, to those people who often call themselves 'invisible'" added Figliuolo. "We have to make them visible for vaccination." Finally, Figliuolo reiterated that: "When we have secured a critical mass of over 65s, we will open to everyone in parallel, giving space to companies.

The first stage of the General's visit to Friuli-Venezia Giulia was

Palmanova

(Udine). Upon arrival, Figliuolo was greeted by the President of the Region, Massimiliano Fedriga. Together with the extraordinary Commissioner, the Head of Civil Protection, Fabrizio Curcio, also arrived.

Fedriga, from Figliuolo guarantees on dose flow

"Today we had the certainty that we can move forward in an important way with the vaccination campaign in the Region and that, once the over 65 bracket has been covered, it will be possible to proceed, as the commissioner explained, massively from 64 to over 30 ", said the governor of the FVG, Fedriga, on the sidelines of the operational meeting that was held in the headquarters of the Civil Protection in Palmanova with the extraordinary commissioner Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, the Head of the National Civil Protection Department, Fabrizio Curcio, and the undersecretary of State for the ecological transition Vannia Gava. As Fedriga himself underlined, "our region is the one that has one of the highest vaccination coverage in the country, but to achieve the goal of overcoming theemergency it is important that the greatest number of citizens adhere to the serum administration plan ".
