Berlin (AP) - 1. FC Union Berlin has signed the first new signing for the coming season in the Bundesliga.
Midfielder Rani Khedira is transferring from FC Augsburg to Alte Försterei.
The iron announced on Monday.
The 27-year-old is coming on a free transfer as his contract with FCA expires in the summer.
“Union has made considerable progress in recent years.
I am delighted to be part of this team from the coming season and to help establish myself in the Bundesliga, ”said Khedira, who has played 25 times for Augsburg in the Bundesliga so far this season.
«Rani Khedira is a very experienced Bundesliga professional in the prime of football age.
We are just as convinced of his footballing skills as we are of his personality.
To be able to sign a player of this quality free of charge is of great value to us, ”said Union managing director Oliver Ruhnert.

It is still unclear whether Rani Khedria will meet his big brother Sami Khedira in the capital.
After moving from Juventus Turin, the 34-year-old ex-world champion plays for the relegation-threatened local club Hertha BSC.
His contract currently only runs until the summer.
