China News Service, Huangshan, April 27 (Liu Hao and Zhang Yazi) On the 26th, the interview vehicle for the "Overseas Chinese Media Studying Huangshan" event organized by the China News Service and the Propaganda Department of the Huangshan Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, carrying representatives of overseas Chinese media, drove Entered Houkeng Village, the core production area of Taiping Houkui, Huangshan District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province.

On that day, the sky was clear and the road to Hou Keng Village was winding and winding, with verdant green hills on one side and clear mountain streams with blue waves on the other side. It takes about 2 hours to drive around the mountain road.

Taiping Houkui is one of the top ten famous teas in China and is known as the "Leader of Tea".

In 1915, Taiping Houkui won the Gold Medal of the Panama World Exposition, and has been well-known at home and abroad for a century.

Fang Jifan, the representative inheritor of Taiping Houkui's production skills, a national intangible cultural heritage project in China, led overseas Chinese media representatives into the tea garden to introduce the local ecological environment and production skills.

Fang Jifan said that Houkeng Village is located on the 30-degree north latitude gold tea production line, with an altitude of more than 500 meters, an average annual temperature of 14 to 15 degrees Celsius, an annual precipitation of 1650-2000 mm, a frost-free period of 220-230 days, a relative humidity of more than 80%, and a forest coverage rate of up to More than 95%, such an environmental climate provides sufficient nutrients for the growth of tea trees.

The air in the tea garden was quiet that day, and the dotted sticky yellow boards attracted the attention of representatives of overseas Chinese media.

It is understood that this is a green prevention and control model that Huangshan District adheres to the concept of green ecological development, and aims to steadily improve the quality and safety of tea, and promote zero pollution of pesticides in tea gardens in the whole region.

At present, Huangshan District has promoted the application of the prevention and control technology of "Arthimian Worm Yellow Board + Biological Pesticide + Ecological Agronomy" throughout the region.

Fang Jifan said that although the unique ecological environment and scientific pest prevention and control methods can ensure the healthy growth of tea trees, traditional hand-making skills are needed to make the Taiping monkey fragrant.

Overseas Chinese media representatives walked into the Taiping Houkui production workshop to observe the production process of on-site workers.

"The production of Taiping Houkui tea requires more than ten processes such as spreading, finishing, trimming, and baking." Fang Jifan introduced to representatives of overseas Chinese media. Among them, the steps of finishing and trimming are extremely important. When finishing, use a flat deep-bottomed iron pot. The temperature of the pot body is controlled at 150°C to 180°C, and the amount of leaves in each pot is about 50 grams. Fry gently with your hands, shaking while frying.

Tie strips are also called pinching points. One bud and two leaves of Houkui are squeezed into strips by hand and straightened out. The branches lie flat on the screen. The tea leaves do not fold, bend, or stick to each other.

The strength is moderate, not to damage the tea juice of Houkui, but also to ensure that the ropes are not loose.

It is understood that a tea-making team of 10 people can only produce about one catty of dry tea per day, and one catty of Taiping Houkui dry tea requires about 1,800 fresh leaves.

Taiping Houkui dry tea is burly and sturdy, shaped like a sword, with a hidden Baihao, and a pale green color. Soaked in a glass cup, the leaves are beautiful in shape.

Fang Jifan said: "The first bubble has a high fragrance, the second bubble has a strong flavor, and the third bubble and four bubbles still have a delicate fragrance."

After the overseas Chinese media representatives watched the process, they tasted the brewing taste of Taiping Houkui and praised Taiping Houkui for its well-deserved reputation.

The "Overseas Chinese Media Visiting Huangshan" event was organized by the China News Service in conjunction with the Propaganda Department of the Huangshan Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China.
