“Due to the fact that the rules of international regulation and requirements for vaccination are still being formed, such a document may be necessary for citizens of the Republic of Belarus to travel abroad.

The certificate is issued at the vaccination point on a paid basis at the request of a citizen planning to travel outside the country within a year, ”the ministry's press service said.

At the same time, citizens who do not plan to travel abroad will be entered information about vaccination in their medical documents with the possibility of obtaining an extract on receiving two components of the vaccine against COVID-19.

The vaccination certificate, which is issued in Russian and English, indicates the name of the healthcare organization, the date of birth of the person who received prophylactic vaccinations against COVID-19, as well as the name of the introduced vaccine.

Earlier, Ukraine announced an agreement on cooperation with the European Commission on digital certificates of immunity to coronavirus infection.

The European Commission announced that vaccination certificates against coronavirus will become available in the European Union by June 15.
