Berlin (dpa) - Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder calls for more speed and flexibility in corona vaccinations in Germany.

"Where we vaccinate more freely, we are very efficient," said the CSU boss, according to participants at the federal and state vaccination summit on Monday.

In the current phase of the pandemic, two points are important: "How can we increase the speed of vaccination?"

and "How can we return basic rights?"

According to the information, Söder emphasized that he was in favor of people with complete vaccination protection having to meet fewer corona requirements: "Those who have been vaccinated twice should also have more freedom."

Söder named the so-called bar and ring vaccinations as examples of successes against the pandemic.

So far, the countries can only deviate from the generally binding vaccination sequence in order to prevent a dynamic spread of the coronavirus from highly polluted border regions (ring vaccination) or from high incidence areas (bar vaccination).
