Zuzenhausen (AP) - TSG 1899 Hoffenheim joins a social media boycott of England's football clubs to protest against racist insults and hostility in the social networks.

This applies to the period from April 30th to May 3rd.

Members of the TSG were also recently insulted or insulted with racist statements, the Bundesliga club announced on Monday.

«A development that is absolutely unacceptable and unbearable.

TSG Hoffenheim stands for tolerance, respect and solidarity.

We reject any form of racism, discrimination and violence, even in verbal form, »says Holger Kliem, head of the media department at Kraichgauer.

He pointed out that only a few weeks ago the Hoffenheim professionals Ryan Sessegnon and Diadie Samassekou had been racially insulted online.

As in England, the campaign is aimed at the Facebook, Twitter and Instagram networks.

The platforms should do more to counter hatred on the Internet and show how important the ongoing fight against discrimination is, according to a statement from the top English clubs.
