France builds Mini Suez Canal to train crew to avoid stranding

　　Recently, a French company created a "mini version" of the Suez Canal to train crews to deal with sudden failures and other situations.

The training base of the "Carnival Port" is located by a lake in eastern France. The waterway here imitates the Egyptian Suez Canal, but the scale is only one-fifth of the Suez Canal.

The trainees drove the reduced version of the cargo ship carefully through the waterway to simulate and practice how to pass the Suez Canal smoothly.

The staff simulated cargo ship engine failures and other situations to train the students' reactions.
