Parchim (dpa / mv) - The Corona initial vaccinations for teachers and educators have been completed in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district.
A district spokesman announced on Monday that everyone had received an offer.
A good 3,000 people from these areas received the first vaccination against the corona virus, including 871 teachers from high schools and regional schools last weekend.
In total, more than 53,000 corona vaccinations have been given in the district with around 200,000 inhabitants, almost 43,000 of them with the vaccine from Biontech / Pfizer.
In the coming days, the district is said to be expanding its vaccination offer in the area.
In addition to vaccinations in Sternberg and Boizenburg, a vaccination campaign for the food industry in the region is also in preparation.
“Due to some work processes, the risk of infection in these areas is particularly high.
We want to take countermeasures so that we can maintain the food supply, ”said medical officer Ute Siering.
In addition, vaccination among the volunteer fire brigades and in disaster control should be promoted.
