Augsburg (dpa / lby) - FC Augsburg presented its new coach Markus Weinzierl today (1 p.m.) at an online press conference.
Manager Stefan Reuter will also be present.
Weinzierl is the successor to Heiko Herrlich, who is on leave, and who the relegation-threatened Bundesliga club has no longer thought of turning things around.
Three games before the regular end of the season, the Augsburgers still have four points ahead of relegation place 16. Weinzierl has already worked successfully in Augsburg from 2012 to 2016.
He had to leave early at FC Schalke 04 and most recently at VfB Stuttgart.
His contract in Augsburg now runs until the summer of 2022.
