Since the EU-Turkey refugee agreement in 2016, the number of migrants reaching the Greek islands has decreased and last year the number was record low.

But since last year, data on so-called pushbacks has also skyrocketed - that is, migrants are prevented from crossing the border to apply for asylum.

The Left Party wants Europe to take greater responsibility in this matter.

- This is a chaos created by Europe's right - wing extremists.

The solution is, of course, to make an automatic redistribution of those who come and seek protection in Europe, says Malin Björk (V).

The moderates, on the other hand, want to make greater differences between economic refugees and those who are entitled to asylum.

- I think we need to put in place a system where a faster control is done directly at the EU border, says Tomas Tobé (M).
