Wiesbaden (dpa) - The Hessian Prime Minister Volker Bouffier (CDU) sees many unanswered questions about the further procedure for vaccinated, convalescent and negatively tested people after the consultations with the state heads of government and Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU).

The assessment by the Robert Koch Institute that at least double-vaccinated people and people who were sick with Covid-19 infection pose no risk or only a minimal risk of infection, the question arises as to whether their restrictions on fundamental rights are still proportionate, announced Bouffier on Monday evening.

«The state does not grant any fundamental rights; people are entitled to these fundamental rights.

That is why there is an urgent need for action here, ”he emphasized.

The Hessian state government had already implemented the constitutionally required measures last week and adjusted the Corona ordinances.

"The specific design of a corresponding federal ordinance, however, still requires further coordination," explained Bouffier.

He welcomed the fact that the priority groups should not be lifted before June.

"At the moment we have already opened priority group 3 in Hesse, and I am confident that we will be able to make so many vaccination offers by June that we can then seriously tackle the lifting of the priorities," said the Prime Minister.
