Throughout the crisis, the UAE did not hesitate to fly humanitarian and medical aid to the friendly country of India, from which thousands of health care workers have benefited to enhance their efforts to contain the spread of the virus.

In return, and within the framework of coordination and partnership between the two countries, India sent teams of specialists, doctors and nurses to the UAE to support the country's efforts to contain the Corona pandemic, and the Indian government also agreed to export adequate quantities of hydroxychloroquine to the UAE for use in treating people with the emerging coronavirus.

The UAE has strong and distinguished relations with the Republic of India, as diplomatic relations between the two countries were launched in 1972, in light of this, the paths of bilateral cooperation in various sectors were launched within a framework of mutual respect and commonalities at the political, economic and cultural level, which was culminated in the signature.
