Since 31 March, Region Västmanland no longer offers any opportunity to test if you have antibodies against covid-19.

Since the start in September last year and until the end of March, approximately 11,000 antibody samples were taken by Region Västmanland.

In comparison, they have taken 200,000-300,000 so-called PCR samples, those that are taken in the nose and show if you have an ongoing infection with covid-19.

- When you have symptoms, you take a sample and then you know that there is an immunity for six months afterwards.

If you take antibodies, you still do not know when you were ill, says Åke Tenerz.
