The Liberal Democratic Party has resumed discussions with a new working team chaired by former secretary-general Ishihara from the beginning of this month over the selective surnames of married couples who can give their surnames before marriage if they wish, for the second time on the 26th. We held a meeting.



At the meeting, a member of the Diet who was cautious about the system commented that "even if there is a disadvantage due to the change of the family name, it can be dealt with by using the maiden name before marriage as a common name", while a member of the Diet in favor said " There are some disadvantages that cannot be resolved by using the common name. "
