Hamburg (dpa) - There is no coaching discussion at Hamburger SV.

This is what sports director Jonas Boldt said despite the meager point yield on the journey of the Hanseatic second division soccer team at SV Sandhausen (1: 2) on Thursday and at Jahn Regensburg (1: 1) on Sunday.

"I have no doubts about the trainer," said Boldt the TV broadcaster Sky.

HSV had only conquered one point in the two most recent away games.

Coach Daniel Thioune had hoped he could come back to Hamburg from the competition trip with six points.

Boldt, who brought Dieter Hecking before last season and Thioune in this season, sees a cause for the unstable performance of HSV in public pressure.

"Because the players may always be seen in a way that they might not be, because HSV has a very big name and they might be expected to play like Bayern Munich," said the 39-year-old.

Boldt doubts the positive effect of frequent trainer changes.

“In the past, it was common practice for a new coach to come, and it hasn't necessarily gotten better.

So maybe go one way together, ”says Boldt.

So it was agreed with the board of directors of the clubs last summer.

The sports director received support from ex-HSV goalkeeper René Adler.

"It would be good for HSV to hold on to the coach a little longer," said Adler on the TV program "Sky 90".

The HSV is four games before the end of the season with 51 points on the relegation place behind VfL Bochum (60) and Greuther Fürth (54).

In the crooked table, Holstein Kiel has two points less than fourth, but is three games behind.

"I am convinced that my team will give everything until the last matchday," said Thioune.
