Schwerin (dpa / mv) - In the opinion of the opposition left in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the prioritization of vaccinations should be ended.

"Since sufficient vaccines will be available in the foreseeable future, the prioritization of certain groups should be lifted," demanded the parliamentary group leader Simone Oldenburg on Monday with a view to the federal and state vaccination summit.

"Everyone should have the chance to get vaccinated in a center or with a doctor they trust."

Everyone vaccinated protects themselves and others and thus helps to break the pandemic wave.

"Vaccinate, vaccinate, vaccinate - that is the order of the day."

Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) brakes at this point, according to NDR.

Corresponding decisions could only be made when there was more vaccine, said Schwesig, according to NDR.

It is becoming apparent that the deliveries will be larger, but the vaccine will first be needed for second vaccinations.

A drop in the sequence of vaccinations is not yet possible.

However, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania released Astrazeneca's preparation for all age groups last week because there were persistent difficulties in getting the vaccine to those entitled.
