Raunheim (dpa / lhe) - Because corona rules were not complied with, two Raunheim restaurants (Groß-Gerau district) came under the attention of the authorities.

The police also assume that illegal gambling was carried out in both pubs.

As stated in a statement on Monday, officials first discovered five people in a pub during a check on Saturday evening.

One also became aware of six slot machines without a valid seal of approval.

"The investigation into the suspicion of unauthorized gambling continues," it says.

The police filed reports against all persons for violating applicable corona rules.

Also in Raunheim, officials tracked down twelve people in a bar just hours later, it was said.

In this case, too, it was determined whether illegal gambling was taking place: "In total, the people had around 8,000 euros in cash with them."

Reports of possible corona violations were reported against those present.
