Leipzig (dpa) - Sports director Markus Krösche is leaving the Bundesliga club RB Leipzig at the end of the season, according to a media report.
As the “Bild” reported on Monday, the contract with the 40-year-old, which is actually valid until June 2022, is to be terminated by mutual agreement on June 30 of this year.
Upon request, the club initially refused to comment on the report.
Krösche moved from SC Paderborn to Leipzig in 2019 as the successor to Ralf Rangnick.
Most recently, the ex-professional was in talks with various Bundesliga clubs, including Eintracht Frankfurt as the successor to Fredi Bobic.
