Berlin (dpa / bb) - The Potse youth center in Berlin-Schöneberg is to be cleared on May 19.

This date has now been received, said a spokesman for the self-managed project on Sunday.

The preservation of alternative youth culture will be subordinated to uncompromising pursuit of profit, it said in a message.

"We continue to adhere to our demand to only leave the Potse when we and the drugstore are offered adequate replacement space."

The district court ruled last summer that the project had to leave the occupied rooms.

Punk concerts were held regularly in the pot and in the Drugstore pub.

A new owner of the house had given notice to the long-standing youth club.

Again and again young people demonstrated for the preservation of the Potse, at times there were also occupations of other rooms.
