The Egyptian President receives the Corona vaccine

The spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic in Egypt published a picture of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi receiving the new Corona virus vaccine.

Commenting on the photo, the spokesman said: "President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is receiving vaccination with the Coronavirus vaccine, as part of the national campaign to vaccinate citizens."

The Egyptian President had issued a decision declaring a state of emergency throughout the country for a period of 3 months, starting from one o'clock this morning, Sunday.

The decision, which was published in the Official Gazette in its Sunday edition, stated that it comes in view of the security and health conditions that Egypt is going through.

On Saturday, the Egyptian Ministry of Health recorded 912 new cases of Coronavirus and 39 deaths, compared to 884 infections and 45 deaths the previous day.

"The total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Saturday is 221570, including 166,457 cases that have been cured, and 12998 deaths," ministry spokesman Khaled Mujahid said in a statement.
