Marnitz / Groß Polzin (dpa / mv) - Fires in Marnitz (Ludwigslust-Parchim) and Groß Polzin (Western Pomerania-Greifswald) resulted in damage of around 100,000 euros.

As police spokesman explained on Sunday in Rostock and Neubrandenburg, in both cases, which occurred Friday evening, investigations are being carried out on suspicion of arson.

In Marnitz a whole complex of sheds and outbuildings went up in flames, so that the fire spread to a dry meadow area.

Several fire departments were able to stop the flames.

Here alone, around 70,000 euros in damage are expected.

A barn about 40 meters long burned down in Groß Polzin.

Around 70 firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings.

People were not injured in either case.
