Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - In Baden-Württemberg, 1782 new corona infections were reported on Sunday.
This can be found in the daily report of the State Health Office (as of 4:00 p.m.).
The so-called seven-day incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week, rose to 196.3, according to the report.
The value was significantly higher than last Sunday at 173.4.
Only three districts fell below the threshold of 100. 32 rural and urban districts were higher than 165.
The number of confirmed infections has risen to 429,692 since the beginning of the pandemic. About 374,677 people are considered to have recovered.
15 further deaths in connection with corona infections were registered, the total number is now 9226.
According to the data in the intensive care register of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (Divi), 595 corona patients were in intensive care units in hospitals in Baden-Württemberg on Sunday.
351 of them received invasive ventilation.
2132 of the operable 2430 intensive care beds (87.7 percent) are currently occupied.
This value is important in order to be able to assess the utilization of the health system.
Such beds are not only needed for Covid 19 patients with severe courses, but also for other serious illnesses.
