On April 25, a military-patriotic action of the Russian Ministry of Defense “We are the army of the country.

We are the army of the people. "

From the Kievsky railway station of the capital, an agitation train, consisting of 17 themed carriages, set off across the country.

As the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Andrei Kartapolov noted at the ceremony of sending the train, the action is aimed at uniting society and resisting historical falsifications.

According to him, the general idea of the exhibition "should convey the truth and tie together the past, present and future, be an incentive to educate high moral qualities of all our citizens."

So, in one of the carriages, named "Memory Road" by analogy with the museum complex in the Patriot park near Moscow, there are terminals for viewing and entering information about the veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

At the same time, a historical atmosphere is recreated in each museum carriage.

Visitors will begin their inspection with the exhibits of a peaceful pre-war life, and then they will be able to familiarize themselves in detail with the expositions related to the Great Patriotic War.

All-Russian route

Another part of the composition is devoted to the current achievements of all types and branches of the Russian troops.

These cars were named "Modern Army".

Viewers can visit interactive displays and exhibitions.

The latest examples of Russian military equipment, including the Typhoon-K armored vehicle, the T-90M tank, and the Coalition-SV self-propelled guns, are presented on three platforms of the train at once.

In addition, war trophies brought from Syria are placed on another platform.

Among them - armored vehicles "Panther" and "Hammer-1".

In the first, visitors will be able to visually familiarize themselves with the “red zone” chamber of the covid hospital, in the second one will be able to watch videos and presentations on the fight of military doctors against the coronavirus, and in the third, consultations will be held with the remote participation of professors and teachers of the St. Petersburg Military Medical Academy.

Anyone can undergo a medical examination.

Speaking about why the organizers of the large-scale patriotic action paid great attention to the topic of the pandemic, retired military expert Colonel Viktor Litovkin noted that the fight against a dangerous virus can be compared to a military operation.

“The Ministry of Defense has provided tremendous assistance in countering the pandemic, and this struggle is still ongoing.

Due to the fact that the department has the capacity for the rapid deployment of hospitals, it was possible to provide great support to the civil healthcare system, "Litovkin explained in an interview with RT.

The train is accompanied by a concert brigade of the Central House of the Russian Army named after Frunze, along with artists from the Alexandrov Academic Song and Dance Ensemble, the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army, song and dance ensembles of all military districts and fleets.

A platform-stage is specially equipped for the performances of the artists as part of the train.

Concerts will be held in all cities where the train stops.

You can get acquainted with the route and timetable of the unique train in a special multimedia section, which was previously opened by the Ministry of Defense on its website.

The train will travel through almost the entire territory of Russia, visiting major cities of the country - from Moscow to Vladivostok and from Sevastopol to Murmansk.

Then the train will move south through Tula, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar and Sevastopol.

"In Karelia on April 29, we will write the" Victory Dictation ", on Victory Day in the city of Tula we will hold a number of joint solemn and festive events, at the end of May at Tynda and Novy Urgal stations there will be actions dedicated to the reconstruction of the BAM railway section by the RF Armed Forces Railway Troops", - Andrey Kartapolov said on April 25.

According to the organizers' plans, the end of the action is scheduled for June 27, when Russia celebrates Youth Day.

On this date, festive events are planned in the Patriot park near Moscow.

"Convenient education format"

Recall that initially, agitation trains appeared during the years of the Civil War - they were actively used by the Bolsheviks.

Trains and steamers made it possible to convey the party's agenda to the most remote corners of the country.

Subsequently, propaganda trains ran during the Great Patriotic War, and in peacetime they became one of the tools to support the economic programs of the "five-year plans".

The Russian Defense Ministry returned to this practice in 2016.

The first modern action was timed to coincide with the 71st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Then a military train, equipped to demonstrate military equipment from the Second World War and modern weapons, followed the route from Moscow to Vladivostok, with stops in a number of cities.

As Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu noted at the time, the revival of the agitation train tradition is necessary to preserve the memory of the Great Patriotic War and the losses it brought.

At the beginning of 2019, the Syrian Fracture thematic train was also launched, dedicated to the victories of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the SAR.

As part of this action, the Russians were able to inspect captured military equipment seized from Syrian terrorists.

As Andrei Koshkin, a full member of the Academy of Military Sciences of the Russian Federation, noted in an interview with RT, the inclusion in the propaganda train “We are the country's army.

We are the army of the people ”both expositions on the theme of the Great Patriotic War and Syrian trophies are intended to show the continuity of army traditions.

“This composition is intended to remind about the heroic pages of the history of the armed forces of Russia.

A visitor to such an exhibition will be able to walk in a matter of hours from the time of the Second World War to the new victories of Russian weapons in Syria.

And the visual visual material that is used in such exhibitions is perceived brightly and easily, especially when it comes to young people, ”says Koshkin.

In his opinion, it is the youth that should become the target audience of this traveling exhibition.

“Such agitation trains are a convenient format for the military-patriotic education of Russians.

In a way, it is a bridge to the future.

In no case should you forget your history and allow you to rewrite its pages, which is what the collective West is doing now, ”the expert is sure.

Viktor Litovkin also agrees with this point of view.

According to him, historical knowledge is the key to the country's future.

“It is historical memory that is the basis for patriotic education. If a tree does not take root in the ground, it cannot withstand storms. Every citizen should know the history of his country, and such exhibitions are very helpful in this, ”concluded the expert.
