Moscow authorities and business are launching a campaign for vaccinated elderly people, said the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin.

"Starting from Tuesday, April 27, 2021, residents of the city over 60 years old who have a Moscow compulsory medical insurance policy and who have received the first vaccination against coronavirus can receive a gift card with a face value of 1000 points (rubles), or a promotional code for the same amount," he wrote in his blog Sobyanin.

It is noted that elderly Muscovites who received the first vaccination before April 27, 2021 or completely completed the vaccination can also become participants in the program.

Gift cards can be used to purchase goods and services of everyday demand in shops, pharmacies and cafes that have become partners of the Million Prizes.

The mayor recalled that a few days ago he approached the business with a proposal to organize a targeted collection of donations for the implementation of a program to stimulate the vaccination of the elderly.

As the mayor added, by now we have managed to collect enough money to launch the Million Prizes program.

The mayor also thanked everyone who took or is going to take part in this action.

The issuance of gift cards will be organized in city polyclinics and other vaccination points, the mayor said.

To receive a promo code, you will need to register on the website ag-vmeste.ru.

“Through the Million Prizes program, we will, on the one hand, support older people.

On the other hand, we will stimulate consumer demand and help businesses cope with the consequences of the pandemic faster.

And most importantly, accelerating vaccination will save thousands of human lives, ”Sobyanin summed up.

According to the mayor, to date, about 400 thousand elderly Muscovites have been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Also on russian.rt.com The State Duma supported the idea of benefits for vaccinated pensioners

We will remind, Sobyanin said earlier that the incentive program for elderly Muscovites was created on the basis of a similar project in 2020.

As part of this initiative, citizens during the days of the nationwide voting on amendments to the Constitution (June 25 - July 1) received certificates with bonuses and discounts that could be used in large retail chains, restaurants and cafes.
