The UK is considering vaccinating COVID-19 vaccines other than AstraZeneca even to people in their 30s due to blood clots concerns.

The UK Joint Commission on Vaccination and Immunization is considering whether policy changes are needed before expanding vaccinations to under 40, Telegraph reported.

Earlier, the committee recommended that people under the age of 30 get a vaccine other than AstraZeneca if possible, due to a very rare side effect of a brain clot on the 7th.

New data from the UK Drug and Health Care Products Regulatory Authority shows that the risk of developing a serious blood clot has risen from 1 in 250,000 to 1 in 126,000 in 2 weeks.
