Haan (dpa / lnw) - In the case of a stabbed woman in Haan (Mettmann district), the police and public prosecutor continued to investigate the background of the crime on Saturday.
At first there was no further information.
A 45-year-old suspect, the victim's ex-partner, was picked up on Friday.
He was suspected of having stabbed the 64-year-old after an argument in an apartment, it said.
The woman's 84-year-old mother also suffered severe stab wounds in the argument.
She was taken to the hospital by helicopter.
There was initially no information about her condition on Saturday.
Relatives discovered the dead woman and her seriously injured mother on Friday in the apartment in an apartment building in Haan.
A little later, rescue workers from the fire brigade picked up the ex-partner very drunk near the town hall in Hilden and took him to a hospital.
Apparently there was a suspicion there.
Hospital workers alerted the police.
