Heringsdorf (dpa / mv) - In several places in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania there were vaccination campaigns on Saturday for all those willing to vaccinate over 18 years with Astrazeneca.

In Heringsdorf and Torgelow (both in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district) everything was incredibly well organized, said a spokeswoman for the district on Saturday afternoon.

There were further vaccination campaigns in the district of Northwest Mecklenburg.

In Gadebusch, for example, 100 Astrazeneca vaccine doses were offered without prior appointment.

In Wismar there was also an additional vaccination appointment with Astrazeneca.

There, 400 interested people should first be vaccinated with an appointment.

Since not all those registered had attended the appointment, there were around 150 doses left in the afternoon that could be vaccinated without registering, as the district announced.

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, all age groups have been able to be vaccinated with the Astrazeneca vaccine for a few days, regardless of their prioritization.

For people under 60 years of age, however, detailed advice from the vaccinator is necessary before the injection.
