Medical sources said that at least ten people from Corona patients died and dozens of others were injured in a fire caused by the explosion of oxygen tubes in Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital, south of Baghdad.
The sources added that the dead and wounded were injured by burns and suffocation.
The director of the Al-Jazeera office in Baghdad said that the Iraqi Ministry of Health had directed the transfer of patients from Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital to other hospitals and the transfer of the injured with burns to the Medical City in Baghdad.
Anadolu Agency quoted a source in the Iraqi Civil Defense as saying that the fire was under control, and the process of evacuating the dead, sick and injured is underway.
