Saudi Arabia prohibits the entry of vegetables from Lebanon

Saudi Arabia has decided to prevent the entry of Lebanese vegetable and fruit missionaries to it or transit through its territory, starting at 9 am next Sunday, until the concerned Lebanese authorities provide sufficient and reliable guarantees for them to take the necessary measures to stop the systematic drug smuggling operations against it, after the smuggling of 2.5 million amphetamine tablets has been foiled.

The Saudi authorities said in a statement published by the Saudi News Agency (SPA): “It is based on the obligations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in accordance with the internal regulations and provisions of international conventions in the matter of combating drug smuggling in all its forms. Or those that pass through Lebanese territory, and Lebanese products are used to smuggle drugs into the kingdom's territory, whether through the incoming dispatches to the kingdom's markets or with the intention of crossing to the countries neighboring the Kingdom.
