- All samples and data are collected for research.

Both nationally and internationally, says Jasmine Stavenow, biologist at SVA's section for research and development.

For SVA, this is the first time they are investigating such a large whale, even though they are used to porpoises and smaller marine mammals.

Jasmine Stavenow explains that they will not perform a full autopsy because the elections are so rotten.

This means that on Friday they will not be able to determine the cause of death.

In the clip, you can see what it looked like on site during SVA's field sampling.

Jasmine Stavenow explains that you should wear a helmet when working with large whales.

It is a precautionary measure in case the election should explode.

Takes samples and measurements

What SVA does during their field sampling is that they document the choices, take measurements and samples of, among other things, lard, muscles, skin and parasites.

They expect the sampling to take at least three hours.

- Dead animals are the key to most of what we know about living animals.

What we collect today is the knowledge base for the humpback whale, Jasmine Stavenow.

Whales can explode, how prepared are you for that?

- We know that the risk exists.

The practice when working near large whales that are a bit rotten is to wear a helmet.

So we should have that and we should also cut in the right place, not in the stomach for example.
