In front of filming witnesses, 45-year-old Chauvin pressed his knee against the handcuffed and unarmed black Floyd's neck for almost nine and a half minutes.
Chauvin was convicted of the murder earlier this week, after a several-week trial and he now risks up to 40 years in prison.
