Augsburg (dpa) - Augsburg's manager Stefan Reuter has given coach Heiko Herrlich no further support after the home defeat against 1. FC Köln.

The 54-year-old did not rule out a separation from Herrlich after the 2: 3 on Friday evening in the Bundesliga when asked.

“We take the weekend to let it sink in and process it.

Then we think about what the right steps are for the last three games, ”said Reuter.

After losing to a direct competitor, the FCA, which only scored one point in the last four games without a win, is back in the middle of the relegation battle.

Especially the first half with a 0-3 deficit could cause those responsible to act.

Reuter spoke of "a terrifying first half that we will hopefully never have to see again."

The situation will be carefully analyzed internally.

Herrlich said earlier in his press conference that he believed he could still reach the team: "Yes, I have that feeling."

With 33 points you still have everything in your own hands, emphasized the coach, who has to fear for his job more than ever.

"We can keep the class - and we can do that," said Herrlich.
