Schwerin (dpa / mv) - The written final exams at Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's schools began on Friday without incident, according to the Ministry of Education.

First it was the Abitur examination in English.

During the exam, which lasted several hours, the students had to wear a mouth and nose cover, but were given 30 minutes more than usual to complete the tasks, as it was said.

There was no compulsory corona test before the start of the exam.

Around 5500 high school graduates will take the final exams this year.

Next week, the secondary school exams will begin for around 6100 students.
