Munich (AP) - The trial of a murder in a sports car begins on Monday (April 26) at the Munich I Regional Court.
The court announced on Friday.
A 24-year-old man is charged with shooting a 25-year-old in his Porsche in March 2020.
He is said to have shot the man three times in the head so that he did not have to repay debts of 8,000 euros that he had with him.
The defendant has been in custody in Stadelheim since June last year, before that he was in the Augsburg-Gablingen JVA.
In February he made headlines with a spectacular escape from his pre-trial detention in Stadelheim.
He was hiding in a van but was arrested again that day.
Now his trial begins in the courtroom in Stadelheim.
The public prosecutor's office accuses the defendant of maliciously murdering the 25-year-old out of greed.
If convicted, the man faces life imprisonment.
