The first woman to receive a Corona vaccine in the world urges for a second dose

The first woman in the world to get the Coronavirus vaccine has urged everyone to get a second dose of the vaccine.

Maggie Keenan, who got the first dose of the Pfizer / Biontech vaccine last December and now has both doses, spoke with England's National Health Service chief executive Simon Stephens and healthcare workers via the Zoom video chat app.

During the conversation, in which Maggie met the nurse who administered her the vaccine, she expressed her pride in being the first person in the world to be protected from the Corona virus.

"I ask everyone to go get the shot because it's the best thing I've ever done," said Maggie, 91.

I hope that everyone applies for the vaccine. ”

Stevens added that the health care service was monitoring the progress of patients "in record numbers" to obtain the second doses of the Oxford / AstraZeneca vaccine.

This comes after rare cases of blood clots were detected after people received the Oxford / AstraZeneca vaccine.

The Vaccine Authority in Britain changed its recommendation for those who receive the AstraZeneca vaccine as a precaution to limit it to those aged 30 years or over, but added that there is not enough data to show that the clots are caused by the vaccine.

More than 33 million people in Britain have received the first dose of the vaccine, while more than 10.7 million have received the two doses.
