Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Health policy, East-West inequalities more than 30 years after reunification and the fight against child poverty are central topics on the election posters of the left in Saxony-Anhalt.

"I am proud that it is clear on all posters that we are the party of social justice, which also clearly stands for the strengthening of the welfare state," said the left-wing top candidate Eva von Angern.

On Friday she presented the poster campaign together with state chairman Stefan Gebhardt.

“We still have significant differences in income and pensions between East and West.

We have built-in career opportunities for East Germans.

And we want to address that because we consider it a great injustice in 2021, »said von Angern.

With regard to health policy, she said: "We say it has to be about people and not about profits".

There will also be posters addressing the financial consequences of the corona pandemic.

"We are not betting that the economy will boom so quickly that all of this can be achieved through tax revenue."

The left continues to demand a wealth tax.
