Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - The Hesse trade association misses real opening prospects in the regulations of the federal government's corona emergency brake.

As has been proven in numerous scientific studies, trade is not a driver of incidences, said association president Jochen Ruths on Friday.

For the most part, the emergency brake works like a business continuity, and that in the 14th month of the pandemic.

Ruths welcomed, however, that the nationwide measures provide for the opening of the trade through “Click & Meet” - shopping by appointment - with a negative test for incidences between 100 and 150.

“Click & Collect” is allowed regardless of the incidence, ie online purchase with later pick-up.

In order to be able to implement “Click & Meet” as prescribed, the test capacities in the cities and municipalities must be expanded as quickly as possible, demanded Ruths.

The two Hessian model projects in Alsfeld and Baunatal in particular showed that both society and the companies involved from trade, gastronomy and culture could deal very responsibly with an opening in connection with a test strategy.

The new Infection Protection Act comes into force this Friday, in counties and cities with a seven-day incidence of over 100 in the past three days, the federal emergency brake should automatically apply from Saturday.
