Dresden (dpa / sn) - The police in Saxony continue to support the public order offices in the state with the controls to ensure compliance with the corona rules.
It is important to react flexibly to the respective situation, said a spokesman for the interior ministry on Friday.
For example, the police could intervene if there were indications from the population or if the regulatory authorities increasingly registered violations of the applicable corona rules.
From Saturday, the federal emergency brake will take effect in the Free State with stricter corona rules such as exit and contact restrictions.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, the police operations always depend on the respective situation.
"In this respect, corresponding controls are carried out at the places and at the times where increased public traffic is to be expected," it said.
