Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Takeda apologized for finding a mistake in the text of the amendment to the Local Civil Service Law, saying, "I am extremely regrettable and sincerely apologize," and expressed his intention to work to prevent recurrence, such as strengthening the check system.

While mistakes were found one after another in the bill submitted by the government to the Diet, there were two mistakes in the amendment bill of the Local Public Service Law to raise the retirement age of local public service, including the deviation of the article number, and in the reference material 45 mistakes were found.



Regarding this, Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Takeda told reporters after the Cabinet meeting, "It is regrettable that there was an error in itself, and it is extremely regrettable that the error was found after a re-inspection by all ministries and agencies last month. I sincerely apologize." I apologized.



He added, "We will do our utmost to prevent recurrence, such as strengthening the bill check system and raising staff awareness so that the same thing will not happen in the future."
