The 25-ton excavator stood on the surface of a low-loader in Neunburg in front of the forest, the police said on Friday.
Due to the maneuver of the 57-year-old on Thursday evening, a lower part of the excavator then protruded beyond the loading area so that the excavator tipped over.
Since the man initially seemed seriously injured, according to the police, he was taken to a hospital by helicopter.
There it turned out that his life was out of danger.
