In the first quarter of this year, procuratorial organs across the country filed and investigated 267 judicial staff-related duty-related crimes, including 16 major cases involving officials at or above the county level.

The person in charge of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate’s Case Management Office stated that as the nation’s political and legal teams are fully educated and rectified, the number of such cases handled by the procuratorial organs may further increase.

  From January to March 2021, the number of criminal prosecutions handled by procuratorial organs across the country has increased significantly. A total of 19,053 criminal suspects have been approved and decided to arrest, an increase of 44.9% year-on-year; 70,714 people have not been arrested, an increase of 86% year-on-year.

A total of 361,165 people were decided to prosecute, a year-on-year increase of 30.9%; a decision not to prosecute 57,770 people, a year-on-year increase of 64.4%.

  In terms of charges of prosecution, the top five were: 74,713 persons for dangerous driving, an increase of 1.1 times; 45,662 persons for theft, an increase of 12.6%; 24,173 persons for fraud, an increase of 6.7%; and 18,749 persons for intentional assault. , An increase of 5.2% year-on-year; 17,897 people were convicted of opening a casino, an increase of 49.2% year-on-year.

From the perspective of the new crimes, among the 17 new crimes in the Criminal Law Amendment (11), 258 people have been prosecuted. Among them, the more numerous crimes are: 101 people for assaulting a policeman, 91 people for collecting illegal debts, and obstructing safe driving. 30 people were guilty of crimes, 21 people were guilty of throwing objects at height, and 14 people were guilty of dangerous operations.

  In terms of civil prosecution, from January to March, procuratorial organs across the country handled 14,228 cases of effective civil judgment supervision, a year-on-year increase of 12.8%; procuratorial recommendations were made for 4114 illegal acts in civil trial activities, a year-on-year increase of 1.5 times; for civil enforcement activities 4873 procuratorial suggestions were made for illegal activities, a year-on-year increase of 1.4 times.

  In terms of administrative prosecution, from January to March this year, prosecutors across the country filed 27 protests against administrative effective judgments, a year-on-year increase of 28.6%; 784 procuratorial recommendations were made for illegal activities in administrative trials, a year-on-year increase of 2 times; and administrative enforcement activities There were 3,083 procuratorial suggestions for illegal activities, a year-on-year increase of 2.3 times.

At the same time, a total of 1,017 administrative disputes were substantively resolved, including 165 administrative dispute cases involving more than 5 years.

  In terms of public interest litigation prosecution, from January to March this year, prosecutors across the country filed 32,914 public interest litigation cases, a year-on-year increase of 99.5%, and the number of cases handled increased significantly; 1242 public interest litigation cases were filed, a year-on-year increase of 94.7%.

  The number of admissions hospital leaders taking the lead in handling cases has also continued to increase.

From January to March, the leaders of the procuratorial organs across the country handled a total of 129,247 cases, a year-on-year increase of 47.4%.

In addition, the chief prosecutors of the procuratorates at all levels and the deputy chief prosecutors entrusted by the chief prosecutors throughout the country attended the court adjudication committee meetings with a total of 1665 people, a year-on-year increase of 60.1%.
