Kulmbach (dpa / lby) - After a plane crash in Kulmbach, Upper Franconia, the wreck with the corpses of the occupants is to be recovered on Friday.

The identity of the two dead has not yet been finally clarified, said a police spokeswoman in the morning.

The microlight aircraft fell to the ground on Thursday evening when taking off at an airfield from a low height, rolled over and was left lying on the roof.

The occupants had died at the scene of the accident.

The fire brigade and the technical relief organization tried to turn the machine on Thursday in order to get to the occupants.

However, there was a risk that the propellant charge of the safety parachute would explode.

The recovery was therefore initially not possible.

The cause of the accident was initially unclear.

An expert should investigate the accident site and the wreck on Friday.

Police and prosecutors investigate.

The Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation was also involved, it said.
