The Belgian embassy in Korea expressed regret for the ambassador's assault on a clothing store employee, but the uprising over the incident has not easily subsided.
Hundreds of comments were posted on the Facebook of the Belgian Embassy in Seoul today (23rd) denouncing the embassy's response to the incident.
In particular, one netizen made a problem with the fact that the embassy responded positively to the comments of foreigners who accused Koreans of being racist.
A foreigner called Koreans "crying" and posted a comment saying, "It's fun to see your racists cry because the Chinese slap you on the cheek."
This comment currently appears to have been deleted, but there are still captures.
Some netizens pointed out that there is a lack of authenticity due to the fact that the Korean apology that the embassy posted on Facebook yesterday is not in honorable words.
However, there was also an article with harsh expressions emphasizing that the ambassador's wife was from China.
